_TASHA-is a victim of a divorce. She and her mother were uprooted from their home. Both were sent to a shelter . Mom got adopted and Tasha stayed about 1 month. She became depressed and was due to be euthanized. We are boarding her ,unfortunately, because we have no foster to take her in until she gets adopted. She is a 6 y.o. Pit Bull Terrier mix. She is spayed and current on shots. She is very intelligent and sweet. She is strong and active so she should go to an adult home or one where there are teens. She is beautiful. She rolls over on her back for a tummy rub. The boarding staff really love her. Please ,if you are interested in fostering Tasha or adopting her, contact Hope at 215 322 9251 voicemail 2. The boarding kennel is a caring place but if she is there too long, she will lose her spirit again and become depressed. WE DON''T WANT THAT TO HAPPEN!
UPDATE - We are still boarding Tasha. It has been months. She is a great dog and it would break our hearts if we gave her back to her former owner who most likely will have her euthanized. We haven't heard from her former owner and we are very surprised that he has never called to ask about her. This is a man who raised Tasha from a pup and did rescue her from a dangerous situation.TASHA IS A GREAT DOG!She does become depressed behind bars.She is an active 6 y.o. pit bull mix who is spayed and current on shots.The wonderful staff at the kennel thinks Tasha is sweet, intelligent. and loving. She is full of life and fun.In handling her , the staff agrees that she is a real "people "dog . She is so happy when she is being walked. Tasha needs to be in a home environment. She is obedient. She should be the only pet. Tasha would be a very devoted and wonderful companion to whomever would love and nurture her- a single person or an adult family because she is very strong and may throw over small children when she showers them with kisses. If you met Tasha, you would love her. Oh how she loves her belly rubbed ! Please consider fostering or adopting Tasha before her spirit is broken. Foster home should have fenced yard and no other pets in / or surrounding the home.

CASEY ANN NEEDS A NEW HOME
Boxer/shep mix; 7 yo female spayed;current shots ;housebroken; non destructive ;has run of the house;not an excessive barker;not good with cats or dogs;good with older kids;she walks well on a leash. No aggression with people but is stressed and provokes fights with other pets in the home.She loves attention and walks. She has been with present owner since a pup. At this stage of her life, she suddenly does not like being part of a pack. She has a great personality and loves to be "the only one". Her owner says "Casey is a cool and sweet dog who loves to take walks and hang with her person". STINKY AND DIRTY BOW-WOW NEED A NEW HOME
Both of these cats live in the same home. The owners are heartbroken but must give them up because their son has become severely allergic to them. The medications the son would need would have dangerous side effects. The owners would like for the 2 cats to stay together.

Both cats are litter-box trained and do not spray.They have their claws.They tested neg for FIV and Leukemia. They get along fine with one another and are good with dogs. They love people of all ages.;never aggressive.Owner says they are both perfect cats and will enrich someone's life.

Molly is a 2-3 yr old spayed female Treeing Walker Coonhound. She is current on all shots and has been wormed. Molly is very gentle,sweet and loving. She is quiet and laidback in disposition. Molly was rescued from a busy highway in NC by a couple with a 2 yr old son. She was excellent with the little boy and is fine with other dogs. Molly will need a fenced yard so she can be free to run and play with her toys. She will only be adopted as an indoor family member.

MACY NEEDS A NEW HOME!!!
Macy's owners have to reluctantly give her up because Macy is too nervous around the young child in the family. Macy is very anxious when the child plays. As you can see , Macy is a real beauty. She is an Italian Greyhound/Terrier mix. She is 5 years old, spayed and current on shots. The owners know she loves adults but don't know if she is good with other animals , since she hasn't lived with them. She is totally housebroken and non destructive. She loves to play and also enjoys her rest times. It sounds as though Macy would make a very good companion in an adult home.

D-O-G (DEE OH GEE)'s owner/caregiver is ill and going into hospice. Family will euthanize him if a home is not found for him soon.

He is very handsome He is 8 years old,neutered, and current on shots. He is housetrained and can be left to have the run of the house for many hours without being destuctive.He is not good with dogs but fair with cats. (he has lived with them.). He is good with teens and older kids, but would knock down smaller children when offering kisses. He walks well on a leash and likes riding in the car. He is good with company and strangers because he is very sweet and loving. He would make a great companion animal wanting to be close to his human as much as possible. He must be an only dog in the household!

CALLIE- 11 yo ; 9 lbs. spayed; uses litter box. Never been exposed to other animals . 100 % indoor cat. Callie is independent but loves to be petted on her terms.. She is shy with strangers at first but eventually will warm up to them. Loves to talk to the outdoor birds while she sits at the window.Owner has developed severe allergies to Callie which allergy shots and medicine haven't helped. Callie would be ideal for a single senior or a senior couple.

Beau's owner is moving and Beau has nowhere to go. Beau is a 6 year old male Dogue de Bordeaux mix. He's neutered, current shots; has lived with other animals. A wonderful rescue person is devastated. She must give up 2 rescued pit bulls living with her because she lives in a zoned residential property not a commercially zoned property. If you wish to foster or surrender a pet, we will, upon your email request, send you the proper form. Please complete it ASAP and email it back (with the pet's picture, if you can scan the photo). If not, email the form and snail mail the pic to: Animal Rescue and Referral, PO Box 16, Richboro, Pa 18954. As soon as we get both the form and the pic , we will list your pet on our site. We request a donation fee of $15 to handle your case (this is optional). We will handle your case even without the donation. This money covers an ad in a local paper and the rest goes to help homeless animals who need medical attention. This fee is non-refundable and is not a guarantee of placement. We are also not responsible for housing the pet in some facility if you can no longer hold onto the pet. Please let us know if you would like us to handle your case. Remember, we don't have a facility. If you need one in a hurry, please contact us at 215 322 9251 voicemail 2 and you will be referred to some no- kill shelters.
